The Rural Voices website offers a wealth of open-access information on rural development in Northumberland.  This information is free to all and can be accessed without a Rural Voices account.  However, by signing up for a Rural Voices account, users can gain access to a whole host of additional, members-only features, contained within The Network.

The Network is a fully-featured networking tool, comprising:

• Community Networks - Everyone who joins The Network becomes a member of a Community Network.  Whether you're interested in a specific area of Northumberland, or have a more Northumberland-wide interest, there's a Community Network for you. Community Networks offer:
  • Regularly updated News, specific to your area of choice
  • A Community Calendar, promoting events in and around your area
  • Easy-to-use Discussion Forums, to facilitate debate and discussion on the topics that matter to you and your area
  • A Photo Gallery
  • The ability to join special interest Groups affliated to your area, which are fully-featured networking sites in their own right
• Groups - Any member of Rural Voices can create their own special interest group.  Use our simple tools to set up and manage your own online area - for free - which can be accessed by other members of Rural Voices. Groups include a wealth of networking functionality, to allow you to interact with other members on the issues that matter to you. Features include:
  • News
  • Events
  • Discussion Forums
  • Photo Galleries
  • Contact forms
  • Information pages
  • Essentially, all of the tools you need to create your own mini-site, which can be accessed by other Rural Voices members
• Member profiles - All members of The Network have their own profile page.  Your profile page becomes your own personal homepage on The Network, feeding you the information that is most relevant to you.  Other members of The Network can also see your profile page, allowing you to find and interact with other like-minded members more easily.
